I have decided to start a new project about the history of comic book fandom in Houston. Here's why: I went to Third Planet and Nan's today with Ryan. We talk a lot on these little trips. I was talking to him about how great it was in the old days when Roy's was on Bissonnet, and across the street from Third Planet.
He had no idea what he was talking about.
It made me realize that there are probably lots of comic book collectors who have no idea of the history of these comic book shops. This is a big project. I think I need to focus first on the original three comic book stores in Houston: Roy's Memory Shop in Bissonnet, Third Planet on Bissonnet, and Camelot in downtown Houston.
