The Old Humble Cemetery
By Margaret Johnson Byron & Dr. Robert Meaux
Deep in the heart of Humble, just south of Main Street, is the old Humble Cemetery. Located at the corner of Isaacks Road and Old Humble Road, the cemetery started out in the mid- 1800s as the Dunman family’s graveyard. As the decades passed, burials continued for the Dunman family as well other residents of the town. The Old Humble Cemetery tells the history of the cemetery, contains maps and burial information, and also provides biographical information on the people who have been buried in the cemetery.
